Nail Polish Invention Protects Women from Date Rape Drug

By Brooke Hafs. CREATED Aug 26, 2014

There could soon be a new way for women to keep themselves safe from date rape drugs. A group of students at North Carolina State University created a nail polish called 'undercover colors' that changes color when exposed to date rape drugs.

Women wearing the nail polish can stir their drink with their finger, and if date rape drugs are present, the polish will change colors. The students behind the invention received $250,000 from investors so far.
