Cooling Shelters in Outagamie County

APPLETON -- Outagamie County leaders are taking this week's heat very seriously.

They annouced today they'll be designating several cooling shelters across the county to help those without air conditioning beat the heat. One of the places, is the Appleton Public Library.

"We're pretty busy all sumer long, but during the summer when it gets particularly hot, we do see people coming in because it's a nice place to be when it's hot outside," says Library Director Colleen Rortvedt.
