2,000 Mink Intentionally Released from Farm

CALUMET COUNTY – The Calumet County Sheriff’s Dept. says 2,000 mink were intentionally released from a farm Saturday.
This happened just before 5:00 a.m. in the Town of New Holstein. The farm is owned by Bonlander Furs and has been in operation since 1978.
Numerous family, friends, and area mink farmers are continuing to help the owners locate and gather the loose mink.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI are investigating the incident.
