Oshkosh Police Search for Man Who Grabbed 11 Year Old

OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Oshkosh Police Department is investigating a report of a man who grabbed the arm an 11 year old girl. The incident happened as the girl left a city bus in the area of Rosalia Street and Winnebago Avenue just before 4:00 PM Tuesday.
According to a news release, the girl told police she noticed a darker complexioned man following her. The man came up behind her and grabbed and squeezed her shoulder. She was able to break free and ran to her home.
Officers were called to the scene and did not find the man in question.
The man is described as 5'8"-6'00" tall, with short dark hair, a dark mustache and goatee about 40-50 years old. He was wearing dark sunglasses, a gray shirt and black pants. Police report the man may have been Hispanic.
In light of the incident, police urge parents to talk with their children about personal safety and what to do if someone attempts to entice their child into a vehicle or any other circumstance that makes the child feel uncomfortable.
