DENMARK - Governor Walker made a stop in Denmark Friday as part of his Working for Wisconsin Tour.
He toured Salm Partners, a company that manufactures smoked sausage and hot dogs.
Walker says meat is a $12 billion industry for the state that employs more than 88,000 people. He says the state's new budget will help the industry grow.
"They're really excited about our state budget, because among other things, tax relief, more money for workforce development, we also included 42 million dollars for the University of Wisconsin to invest in a new meat science and tissue biology laboratory," Walker said.
The governor also got a tour of the company's recent expansion allowing them to add 100 new jobs.
