GREEN BAY, WI --A unique program is underway at UW-GB. It's called "Grandparents U". It is a chance for grandparents and their grandchildren to take classes together, but more importantly, to spend time together.
More than 200 have enrolled this year. There are 12 different classes to choose from, including dance, geology, reading and art. The program is in its seventh year.
" What is cool about this is we have zero discipline issues . It's the best because the kids are so happy to be with their grandparents and the interaction is so cool and so sweet and they absolutely love it.", says program director Mona Christensen.
UW-GB is only one of thirteen universities in the country who offer this special opportunity.
