OSHKOSH - The annual Sawdust Days celebration is happening in Oshkosh this weekend.
It's the 41st year for the festival that features live music, carnival rides and a veterans parade.
The festival gets its name from the 1870s when Oshkosh was known as Sawdust City.
"The weather is beautiful, and we have the history area.. we have lots of different kinds of music -- we have new country music, we have the Mexican area -- so they have lots of music and some of the ethnic dancers," said festival chairman Ellen Schmidt.
The Oshkosh fireworks show will be held at 9:45 Friday evening.
Sawdust Days runs through Sunday.
