Security Changes for Fire Over the Fox

GREEN BAY, WI- If you're heading to the annual Fire over the Fox celebration this Fourth of July there's a new ban in place. Police are limiting what you can carry-in in light of the Boston Marathon Bombing.
Large coolers and large bags banned from the event.
"We don't want people to leave unattended items," says Lt. Kevin Warych of the Green Bay Police Department.
A Record crowd of more than 80,000 expected at the celebration this year and city leaders adding the new city deck to the venue. More than 40 officers will patrol the event on foot, bicycle and boat. City leaders following a new initiative called see "Something, say something."
"We're just making some tweaks to the event to make sure that we ensure that people have a safe enjoyable experience," says Jeff Mirkes of Downtown Green Bay Inc.
Police are also placing a ban on pets and personal fireworks of any kind. If officers catch you with these items you will be asked to return them to your car.
