GREEN BAY -- The American Red Cross is asking you to "lend an arm."
They're hosting the 27th Annual Super Donor Days blood drive in Green Bay today and tomorrow and they're looking collect at least 425 donation over the two days. Organizers say they do this drive right before the 4th of July because it's a time when they tend to see a major decline in donations.
"It's one of the biggest blood drives we host in Northeast Wisconsin and it's to encourage people to come out and donate when a lot of people are busy and donations tend to decline. So it's a big event, it's an important one. Patients are relying on volunteer blood donations," says Bobbi Snethen with the Red Cross.
They're bringing in live music and food and parking is free during the drive. It's happening at Shopko Hall until 7 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) and starts Wednesday morning at 6:30 a.m. and goes until 1:00 p.m.
