GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers announcing some changes today to the security policy at Lambeau Field.
The NFL limited what fans can bring into the stadium to clear vinyl or plastic bags no bigger than 12 by 6 inches, or a one gallon plastic bag. The Packers head of security is issuing some clarification on what's allowed and what's not.
After the announcement, there was some confusion among fans in Green Bay on seat cushions.
The Packers want to clarify that seat pads, and seat backs are allowed in the stadium, but items that are not allowed are seat cushions, because they have a concealable pocket.
The press conference was also held to spread awareness about the new security.
"We're using social media, we're using our website. We're sending out notifications to our season ticket holders," says Packers Director of Services Jennifer Ark.
There will be a special entry gate for people with medical needs who require larger bags. The packers will have a walk through demonstration sometime next month to show what fans should expect when they come to games.
