Pioneer, Capital Credit Unions Propose Merger
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Pioneer and Capitol credit unions are planning to merge into one. Capital, headquartered in Kimberly, currently has $456 million in assets and 34,000 members. Pioneer,
headquartered in Green Bay, has $570 million in assets and 54,000 members.
The combined assets will be over $1 Billion in assets, 88,000 plus members, and have 25 offices located from Oshkosh to Sturgeon Bay.
“When you look at it, there is no downside," Al Zierler, President of Capital Credit Union explained. "This will continue to offer our members premium rates, now with an even wider selection of services."
No employees are expected to lose their jobs according to a news release sent by the leaders of both credit unions.
A vote to ratify the merger will be held later this summer.
