SHEBOYGAN FALLS- Antonio Barbeau, the Sheboygan Falls teen who pleaded no contest to the murder of his great-grandmother took the stand today, in the trial of Nathan Paape.
The teens are accused of killing the 78 year old Barbara Olson with a hatchet and a hammer.
Antonio Barbeau was a runaway, a young teen who was looking for money. Today he told prosecutors of a plan he says he hatched with Nathan Paape and described how they carried it out.
"We tried to scare her to get money and use force if needed," said Barbeau. When the attorney asked what kind of force the teens intended to use Barbeau responded with, "An attack, I guess to kill."
The defense attorney's attacked Barbeau's credibility, painting the teen as someone who lied to investigators. They argue Paape was an unwilling participant in Olson's death.
After Barbeau's testimony the prosecution rested its case.
