GREEN BAY -- The Packers are teaming up with the NFL and the National Guard to host a free football camp for high school students in Green Bay this weekend.
The program is a part of the NFL’s high school player development program.
Camps are held at the Don Hutson Center and focus on character development and specific skills training by position.
About 200 students are expected to attend.
“As a soldier, we know a lot of the same values, like team work and loyalty, and duty. We try to instill that into the players here to take back to their teams,” said Sgt. 1st Class, Tony Fisher, who is helping with the camps.
Twelve players from the camp will be selected to form a team and compete in the Packer’s regional 7-on-7 passing tournament.
