Two Green Bay Police Officers Hurt During Chase

GREEN BAY – Two Green Bay Police Officers are hurt during a crash while trying to stop a driver for suspicion of drunken driving and extremely dangerous driving. This happened just before 3:00 a.m. Saturday in the 800 Blk. of Shawano Ave. 

The driver fled from officers and a chase followed. During the chase, two Green Bay Police squad cars crashed at Oneida St. and Reed St. The two officers involved were taken to the hospital, treated for injuries and released. 
The driver continued to elude officers and a neighboring area pursed him and the chase came back to the City of Green Bay. The driver was finally stopped by Green Bay Police. 
Police say the driver is a 33 year-old man from Howard, WI. They are requesting charges of Operating While Intoxicated, Recklessly Endangering Safety, Knowingly Fleeing an Officer, and Resisting Arrest. The driver will also receive a number of traffic citations for various traffic violations.
