MANITOWOC COUNTY, WI - Three sheboygan men are behind bars after an eight month long investigation. investigators found two kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of more than $65,000 in manitowoc and sheboygan counties.
It's a drug bust that law enforcement are calling one of the largest in the county. All three men are being held on a $500,000 cash bond. The District Attorney's office is setting the bar high as all three men from Sheboygan, have access to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
"If they do access that money and use it to post bail that these defendents disappear and we won't see them again," says Manitowoc County Assistant District Attorney Bob Dewane.
After arresting the three men at a fake deal in Sheboygan county investigators searched three homes and a restaurant in Sheboygan where all three men worked. Police say cocaine was delivered outside the restaurant several times.
Investigators say more charges could come from other counties.
U.S. Immigration officers are investigating two of the men arrested. A criminal complaint is expected to come out next Monday. That is also when all three suspects will make their next court appearance.
