Green Bay, WI -- Dozens of runners of all ages took part in the first-ever Downtown Mile run in Green Bay Thursday night. The race started and ended at the Neville Public Museum. It was organized by Run Away Shoes. The proceeds will benefit the NEW Community Shelter and the Neville Public Museum.
"Yea, you know the main thing is the first year events they take so much time and energy to get all of the things put together correctly. We got that, so we are very happy. The city has been very good to work with on this event, and so in general, we know we've got a safe family event, and we will start and finish, and it will be a good time," said Ross McDowell of Run Away Shoes.
