Authorities Searching for Missing Inmates

CREATED Jun. 8, 2013

WAUSHARA COUNTY, WI – Two inmates are still missing in Waushara County after walking away from a work release program on Thursday.

Four inmates were on work release, when they didn’t return to jail Thursday afternoon. One inmate returned voluntarily about four hours later. One inmate was arrested at a house in the Town of Dakota. The other two are still missing.
They are currently serving sentences for property crimes but should be considered dangerous because of their current situation.
One inmate, Michael James Watford, is originally from Wautoma. He is 22 years-old, 5’7” and 140 lbs.  He has blue eyes and brown hair.
The other inmate, Timothy Dale Lee Doud, from Redgranite, is 21 years-old, 6’0” and 190 lbs. He has brown eyes and brown hair.
Deputies say the two men may have burglarized a house in Dakota and taken more clothes. They have friends and family in the Wautoma and Montello areas.
Warrants have been issued for both inmates’ arrest.
Anyone with information should contact the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office at 920-787-3321 immediately. Do not attempt to apprehend the two men.
