Vigil for Murdered Peshtigo Domestic Abuse Victims' Advocate
Marinette, WI -- Hundreds of family and friends gathered Tuesday night in Marinette for a vigil for Patricia Waschbisch. She was the interim director of Rainbow House, a domestic abuse shelter in Marinette. Waschbisch was found stabbed to death on April 28th in her Peshtigo home. Her boyfriend, Brent Kaempf, is charged with killing her. Waschbisch's former colleagues at Rainbow House, elected officials and community members paid tribute to the slain domestic abuse victims' advocate at Stephenson Island Tuesday night. In addition to speeches, Waschbisch's family placed flowers in her honor in the Menominee River. Kaempf is due back in court on June 27th.
