Layoffs Begin at Kewaunee Power Plant

TOWN OF CARLTON-- About 200 people are without work as the first wave of massive layoffs began at the Kewaunee Power Station. The plant is owned by Dominion, the company shut down nuclear power operations May 7. About 650 people will be laid off during the next year.
The Department of Workforce Development has been working with employees to transition to new job opportunities. The DWD has two full-time case workers on site helping to train workers for new jobs while helping with resumes and interviewing skills.
