KIMBERLY -- A unique battle against cancer is underway tonight in Kimberly.
Hundreds of students at Woodland Elementary School hosted a rally today.. after spending the last year.. raising money as part of the "Unless We Find a Cure" campaign. In 2012, the students raised over $24,000 for the American Cancer Society, making them third in the nation for fundraising.
"The biggest thing is the kids drive it. I live about a minute and thirty seconds from here and on my way home, I see lemonade stands and cookie stands and it's crazy. They do most of the stuff on their own," said Eric Vander Loop, the teacher responsible for organizing the student project.
The Fox Valley Relay for Life is being hosted at the school tonight as reward for the students' fundraising efforts. It runs on the track until 10:00 tonight.
