LAMBEAU FIELD -- The Packers are offering a new reading program this summer.
It's called "Leap Into Reading," and the goal is to encourage kids to pick up a book during summer vacation. The new program doesn't only get kids into a good book, it also gives parents and grandparents a chance to win one of 20 college savings accounts for their students. Those savings accounts are valued at $1,000 each.
The new program was unveiled today at Lambeau Field. More than 200 libraries throughout Wisconsin are taking part in the program. Kids who participate also have a chance to win four tickets to Packers Family Night in August.
"Showing this community support for reading and public libraries and the participation of youth in summer reading programs is just really important," said Tessa Michaelson Schmidt with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Kids can enter the program by visiting their local library.
You can sign up between June 1st and June 18th.
