Madison, WI -- Governor Walker is trying to reach a compromise with lawmakers to expand the private school voucher program. He met with legislators on Tuesday but no deal was reached. He says he expects leaders in the joint finance committee will reach a deal before they vote on Wednesday. The expansion would cost an estimated $73 million. It would mean nine new school districts would qualify for vouchers next year including Green Bay, Fond du Lac and Sheboygan.
