Meeting Set for Displaced Fire Victims

ALLOUEZ, Wis. -- The Red Cross plans to meet with victims of Thursday's apartment fire to discuss their needs. A massive fire destroyed the 74 unit Hilltop Place Apartments, forcing more than a hundred people out of their homes. None of the residents were reported injured, however, three firefighters were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Langlade Elementary in Allouez is serving as a shelter for those displaced. The meeting begins at 2:00 PM at that location. Red Cross leaders say they are accepting monetary donations at its Green Bay location.

The investigation into what caused the is just beginning. The fire, which started small in the building's basement quickly spread to engulf the entire building. Firefighters are still on the scene, putting out hot spots and assisting into what caused the fire.
