FOND DU LAC - Volunteers in Fond du Lac are looking to break the world record for the largest food drive in a 24-hour period.
The Food for Freedom drive will kick off this Saturday at Fond du Lac High School. The current world record is close to 560,000 pounds of food.
"A lot of help from a lot of good people throughout the state of Wisconsin, but the city of Fond du Lac and that area down there has really come through in helping organize everything," said Paul's Pantry Director Craig Robbins.
All of the food collected will go to help six area food pantries throughout Northeast Wisconsin, including our 3 Degree Guarantee partners Paul's Pantry in Green Bay and St. Joe's Food Program in Menasha.
