GREEN BAY, WI-- A community garden finished up planting, benefiting the Soup Council and the Gathering Place.
At the Cherry Street location volunteers spread wood chips, installed gates and planted cherry trees.
“We need to get more people involved in growing food for the community and we need more native gardens because of the drought situation and because of climate change,” said Margaret Gerhard,
The group is also planning other community gardens around the Green Bay area.
