GREEN BAY -- The warmer weather is finally here and it's bringing more migrating birds to the area.
The month of May is when different kinds of birds to start their migration North. Park supervisors say birds come to Wisconsin for their breeding grounds. Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve is where many of these birds have taken refuge for a little while.
Park supervisor Matt Kriese says, "A lot of people bring their binoculars and cameras out here and it's a great time to get outside and it's kind of like your own discovery channel out there in the forest."
Park employees say many of the birds may be gone by the end of the month, so they say if you want to check them out, now is the best time to get out there.
