GREEN BAY - Some Green Bay students now have a brand new pair of shoes.
Tuesday, 166 pairs of shoes were donated to students at Tank and Howe Elementary Schools. It's all thanks to the charity Shoes that Fit, which donates athletic shoes to kids in need.
"It's wonderful just to get something and they were very thankful to get it.. and it was just a bonus when they saw that they were sparkly or that they were pink, if in fact it was a girl, or that they were neat and orange if it was a boy, so they were thrilled," said Tank Elementary Principal Ellen Van Pay.
Close to 1,300 kids all across the country have received new shoes thanks to the charity.
