GREEN BAY-- When the new South End zone expansion at Lambeau opens this season, fans will notice 30 new concession stands. The team is looking to add as many as 50 new charitable organizations to work those stands.
"Groups come in, get trained quickly, on how to use the point of sale how to prepare the food, and then we give them some guest service tips and whatever they do, they get to profit,” said Charlie Millerwise with DNC Sportservice.
The not for profit groups that work the concession stands keep 10% of the profits made on game day. Last year charitable organizations made almost one million dollars from concession sales.
Team leaders say with so many Packers fans dedicating Sundays to watching the games, they don’t have enough people willing to work behind the scenes.
The groups can be as small as three and as many as 100 people. Large groups can earn up to $20,000 per season. If you would like to sign up to work the concession stands call Teri Heath at 920-965-3775.
