Police Arrest Person of Interest in Oneida Shooting

ONEIDA - Police have taken a man into custody following a shooting on the Oneida Indian Reservation.
Officers say it happened around 6:00 Saturday morning near Elm Street and Commissioner Street in Oneida. The 18-year-old victim was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
Police have arrested 19-year-old Kevin Chavez, who is a person of interest in the case. He was taken into custody Saturday evening on the Menominee Indian Reservation.
The 18-year-old victim's name and information has not yet been released.
