FARMINGTON--The Waupaca County Sheriff's Department identified the victim in Saturday morning's shooting as 35 year-old Rickey Stoflet Junior, of Waupaca.
Deputies are investigating the shooting and are still looking for the persons involved. The shooting happened around 3:30 AM at Wally World Tavern in the town of Farmington, on County Highway QQ.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of gunshots being fired outside the tavern. Officers found that the bar and the apartment attached to the rear of the bar had been hit by multiple bullets.
The bullets were fired from a moving car passing through the parking lot. One of the bullets hit Stoflet Junior. He lives in the apartment attached to the rear of the tavern. The tavern is run by his father, Rickey Stoflet Senior. Stoflet Junior helps oversee the tavern at time for his father.
According to family members, Stoflet Junior's is in critical but stable condition.
Police say he had called 911 once and reported hearing gunshots, then called 911 a second time about five minutes later. That is when he reported being shot. A deputy who arrived immediately after the second 911 call provided first aid until the ambulance arrived.
Detectives believe at least two people are responsible for the shooting. They may have been in a 2002 to 2005 Chevy Impala. Witnesses described the car as silver, champaign or white in color. Officials have surveillance footage of the car and the suspects passing through the parking lot and will be working on enchancing the footage to identify the suspects.
