NORTHEAST WISCONSIN - A Help for the Homeless Drive is underway to help those in need in Northeast Wisconsin.
Wednesday, volunteers were busy collecting and sorting toiletry donations from more than 700 collection sites. This is the 21st year for the campaign, which collects personal care items like soap, toothpaste and shampoo.
"Our goal is to stock the agencies with a years worth of products so they don't have to use their limited financial resources to buy the stuff, so they can use their money to pay for their overhead, their staff," said Heidi Prahl, who helped organize the drive.
All of the donations will go directly to homeless shelters in Brown County and the Fox Cities.
