GREEN BAY, WI--More than 220 people in Green Bay shave their heads for a good cause.
The St. Baldrick's Foundation hosted the event at Green Bay Preble High School to raise money for childhood cancer research.
Organizers say not only does the cause raise awareness in the community it also lets the children know they have support.
"I think of the child that is here that is going through cancer treatment, when all the sudden they see that room of people, that now they're just the same as all of them. It's just huge for them. " said Tim Gorton, co-event coordinator for St Baldrick's.
So far St. Baldrick's has raised $47,000. There will be another fundraiser Sunday at Fond Du Lac HighSchool.
