Vice President Joe Biden and Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan dual in Danesville, Kentucky Thursday night.
It's the one and only debate between the candidates, and it's getting plenty of buzz.
"I think Vice President Biden is more emotional with more body language. I think Paul Ryan is a little more factual but I'm seeing him pick up the pace of personalizing things,” political analyst Jim Morrison said.
“I think the Vice President knows sometimes the words don't come out of your mouth the right way,” Paul Ryan told Vice President Joe Biden during the debate.
“But I always say what I mean,” Biden responded.
The two came to blows. Paul Ryan for the first time fighting to keep the republican momentum strong. While Biden tries to regain ground after President Obama's criticized debate performance last week.
"He seems to be condescending at every answer Ryan has made by laughing it off,” Morrison said. "I don't know how that's going to play.”
Some major sticking points were the budget and Medicare.
"It's obvious there's a huge difference in approaches and philosophies, but I’m not sure anything new has come out that hasn't come out before,” Morrison said.
Paul Ryan's family gathered in his hometown of Janesville to watch the debate. The next presidential debate is October 16th in New York--just 26 days to go until the election.
