BROWN COUNTY--Painful memories return, Every time Crystal Teller looks down at her T-shirt and sees her nephew's face.
"Very emotional, very unsteady, very sorry. A lot of mixed emotions. I don't like to hate people. I don't hate the people that did this to him, but I do want justice to be served,” Teller said.
15-year-old Jeremy Teller's family packed a Brown County courtroom and came face to face with Julio Gonzalez. The man accused of gunning down Jeremy.
Gonzalez is charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide--after police say he shot and killed Jeremy last month outside a Green Bay home, when he was looking for someone else.
According to a criminal complaint, Gonzalez stated he "aimed the gun at a man's body and shot him", but "did not know for sure if he hit him".
"I hope where ever he goes, whatever happens, he's punished to the full extent of the law,” Crystal Teller said.
If convicted, Gonzalez faces life behind bars. Meanwhile, Teller keeps her nephew close to her heart.
"We keep them on. We're going to wear them for a long time,” Teller said.
Gonzalez is also facing a charge of Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide for allegedly shooting at Jeremy's cousin. He's set to appear back in court on September 19Th.
Gonzalez’s attorney could not be reached for comment.
