DE PERE-- It's a sign that the NFL is back. Employees at area Festival Foods are once again wearing Packers jerseys and fans are stocking up for preseason watching parties. Tortilla chips colored with Packers colors, green and gold hamburger and brat buns and sweets are just a few items that come around this time of year.
Fans are eager to see the 2012 season underway and their expectations could not be higher. Even though an away preseason game and won't do much for the local economy, it is bringing the passion and excitement for football back.
When the Packers do play home preseason games, it helps to pump millions into the local economy.. Between training camp, family night and two home preseason games, retailers take in nearly $25 million.
