Brown County Busts Major Burglary Ring
GREEN BAY, Wis.--The Brown County Sheriff's Department has referred two brothers to the District Attorney's office for charges connected to a series of burglaries in the county.
The burglary ring allegedly spans three counties and nine communities in Northeast Wisconsin.
33 year old Gregory Vandenack and 51 year Daniel Vandenack are accused of breaking into businesses, homes and vehicles in Brown, Oconto and Shawano Counties. Gregory Vandenack is in the Brown County Jail on a probation violation. Daniel Vandenack is out of jail pending charges.
According to investigators, the brothers forced their way into buildings by prying open doors. Others say they had simply walked into locations through unlocked doors. Deputies say the two took cameras, televisions, lap-top computers, cash and other items.
The Brothers allegedly dumped some of the stolen items into the East River in Green Bay.
