GREEN BAY - For the second time this preseason, Packers players found themselves in fights on the practice field.
These reporters at practice told the story through Twitter, with Tyler Dunne of the Journal Sentinel capturing it on Vine:
Caught the end of a scrum. Began with Jarvis Reed holding Kevin Hughes' facemask... https://t.co/KqrDInLTCG— Tyler Dunne (@TyDunne) August 14, 2013
And Jarvis Reed and Kevin Hughes get into a dust up in one on ones. Reed once again throwing haymakers at facemasks— Wes Hodkiewicz (@WesHod) August 14, 2013
Wes Hodkiewicz's point is prime, as McCarthy expressed earlier this training camp about not throwing punches during a fight.
Fights in practice are not necessarily a huge issue in the sense of it being a sign of dissension among the team or anything like that.
It's heat of the moment, and in the passion of trying to claim a roster spot, so it's not necessarily anything that should be construed as a major problem in itself for the Packers.
