The Brett Favre "tractor watch" may not necessarily be in full gear anymore, but his agent claims the legendary record-breaking Packers quarterback could still suit up and play in the NFL.
"Today, he could play today," said Bus Cook, according to the Alabama news web site al.com.
"His arms look like a blacksmith's arms. He rides a bike probably 30-50 miles a day. He runs four or five miles a day. He's coaching at the high school and they're undefeated. He loves it. His body fat is 7.5 percent and he weighs 225 pounds. He could play today, better than a lot of them out there today.''
Cook knows quarterbacks besides Favre, as he is the agent for Chicago's Jay Cutler and Carolina's Cam Newton.
The al.com story says Cook is "merely making an observation," not claiming the 44-year-old Favre wants to return to the field.
Favre has spent much of 2013 admitting his mistakes over recent years with the Green Bay Packers, who traded him to the New York Jets in 2009.
