Jake Owen is that rare country music star who, to the delight of fans, isn't afraid to bare his backside (more on that later, we promise). He's also become one of country's most active social-media butterflies. On Saturday, just before his performance at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Jake was presented a plaque commemorating his latest career milestone -- amassing 1 million followers of his always entertaining and engaging Twitter page.
Now, back to that bare bum. Early Thursday, Jake joined in on the popular social-media activity of Throwback Thursday. For the uninitiated, that's where you find a photo of yourself from the past and post it to Facebook, Twitter, etc., with the hashtag #ThrowbackThursday.
The Vero Beach, Fla. native's Throwback Thursday photo, which he posted first to Facebook, is one of himself and his twin brother Jarrod with their pants down and peeing into a lake. "Here's a photo from the 'Days of Gold,' he captioned the picture. As a reward for your patience you may now see the classic snapshot here.
"Days of Gold" is Jake's current Top 20 single. It's also the title cut from his fourth album, set for release Dec. 3.
