Dolly Parton received minor injuries Monday morning in a car crash in Nashville, the Tennessean newspaper reports. The singer was riding in the front passenger seat of a Nissan Xterra when a Mitsubishi Diamante driven by Diane Lish, 64, of Old Hickory, Tenn., pulled into the intersection. Metro Nashville police told the newspaper their investigation showed that the driver of the other vehicle failed to yield.
Dolly and the Xterra driver, her longtime friend and assistant Judy Ogle, were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. None of the injuries appeared to be serious, according to police.
The Country Music Hall of Fame member, who this week announced 2014 dates for her Blue Smoke world tour in Australia and Europe, sent a message to fans via her Twitter and Facebook pages saying, “I was in a fender bender this morning here in Nashville, but I am all good. ... Just a little tired and sore. Resting at home now!”
Also on Monday, Dolly made an appearance on Queen Latifah's daytime talk show, rapping and talking about her goddaughter Miley Cyrus. Watch the video above.
