Quickie Halloween Costume Ideas

With all of the excitement surrounding Halloween - the parties, scary movies, candy buying and more - it can get down to the wire when it comes to figuring out a costume.

If you want to avoid spending a lot of money on a costume at the store or hours creating a DIY masterpiece, we have some creative suggestions for adults and kids that only require a key item or two to capture the essence costume. And we'd venture a guess that you already have many of the items in your home.

  • All you need for this costume, is refreshing beverage, hat, sun glasses, shirt, blue jeans, work boots, and of course a cooler.

  • A pair of blue jeans, white tennis shoes, pink and white shirt, round glasses and pink beanie are all you need to complete your costume.

  • A collared shirt, khakis, penny loafers, sweater and cheesy mustache complete the Carlton Banks costume. Dance moves not included!

  • Cardboard boxes, tissue paper, and duct tape are all you need to create this costume.

  • An orange sweater, red skirt and shoes and orange socks is all you need to complete the Velma costume. Don't forget the glasses!

  • If you don't mind writing on your clothes, add your favorite bubble gum brand's name on your outfit. This couple's costumes show that gum can find its way under shoes and flip flops.
