The soundtrack for the movie "Frozen" is not letting go of the number one slot. It is topping the Billboard 200 album sales chart this week for the eighth time.

That is the longest an album has held the top spot since Adele's album "21" had a 24 week run in 2012.

"Frozen" sold 161,000 copies for the week ending March 30, a sales surge that coincided with the movie's DVD and Blu-ray release. In the week prior, the soundtrack had its best beek ever with sales of 202,000 copies.

Billboard says 1.5 million copies of "Frozen" have been sold so far in 2014, making it the year's biggest selling album so far. "Frozen" was released in November 2013.

The movie "Frozen" is about two Nordic princesses who have to save their kingdom from an everlasting winter. It is the top-grossing animated film in box office history with worldwide sales of more than $1 billion.

The "Frozen" soundtrack features the Oscar-winning song "Let It Go."
