Suspicious Death In North Springfield Home Being Treated As A Murder Case

Some new information on a story you heard here first involving a suspicious death at a home on North Sherman in Springfield.
Information from edited news release provided by the Springfield Police Department:
The Springfield Police Department was dispatched to a house at the 1100 block of N. Sherman at 6:50 p.m. on April 11 regarding a deceased female inside who had been found by her mother.
The body was identified as that of Jessica Conner (10-15-87) of Springfield. Her death appeared to be suspicious. Personnel from the SPD’s Criminal Investigation Division were called to the scene to begin their investigation. The cause of death is not yet clear, but it is continuing to be investigated as a homicide. An autopsy will be conducted at a later date. The suspect has not yet been identified, and there are no arrests at this time.
Conner’s next of kin has been notified. No further information about the case is available at this time.
