Springfield Trucking Company's Training Policy Is Found Discriminatory To Women

By Shannon Cay. CREATED Aug 17, 2014

A federal court judge has found a Springfield based trucking company's training policy to be discriminatory of women.

A federal court has ruled that Prime Inc. has violated the Civil Rights Act because of it's training policies that only allow men to train other men and women to train women.

Deanna Clouse had been hired for a job but since there were not women available, she was on a wait list for almost a year.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, who helped with Clouse's defense, suggested this has happened to over 45 women at Prime Inc.
