Springfield School Superintendent Finalist Will Meet The Public

Before he actually takes the job, the Springfield School Board's choice to become the next superintendent will meet the public during two open meeting on Monday, March 3rd.

Dr. John Jungmann was among 13 applicants for the job being vacated by Dr. Norm Ridder, who will be leaving the job in June.

The first meeting is set for the noon hour at the Library Station on north Kansas Expressway. The second session will be later that afternoon between 5:45 and 6:30 at the Parkview High School Library.

The Springfield school board has named Dr. John Jungmann as the top finalist for the superintendent's position. On Monday, March 3, he will come to Springfield for a series of meetings, consistent with the plan developed by the school board at the beginning of the selection process. media and answer questions.

Dr. Jungmann will also participate in two public meetings, plus several small group meetings with select community leaders and representatives of various SPS employee groups.

Anyone who would like to meet Dr. Jungmann is invited to attend one of the following public meetings:

* Noon to 1 p.m.: Frisco Room at The Library Station, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway

* 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.: Library at Parkview High School, 516 W. Meadowmere St.
