A man accused of shooting his mother-in-law at her home in Ozark will have his day in court later this year.
Robert Berry, 45, is facing one count each of assault, burglary, and armed criminal action. According to court documents, Berry shot Donnelle Woodruff, 50, in the jaw and hand on Jan. 9, 2011. She survived. Berry was arrested three days later following a brief pursuit and crash near Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Berry is also charged with statutory sodomy, enticement of a child, and two counts of molestation. The allegations stem from a separate case filed in 2013. Prosecutors allege Berry inappropriately touched a 9-year-old relative on at least two occasions.
Both cases will be part of Berry's trial that begins on Dec. 8.
