A man from Republic is jailed on a federal drug charge related to a raid earlier this week.
DEA agents served a search warrant at William Cruz-Martinez's home on Wednesday after detectives received a tip from a confidential informant. Officers reported finding more than 150 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia at the home on East Haley Street.
Cruz-Martinez, 39, and three others were taken into custody.
According to court documents, the informant told officers that Cruz-Martinez was getting large amounts of meth from the Kansas City area to sell in Republic.
At the time of his arrest, authorities said Cruz-Martinez was wearing an ankle monitoring bracelet. Court records show the bracelet was attached by a bondsman who had freed Cruz-Martinez from custody on charges of tampering and felon in possession of a firearm.
Cruz-Martinez is being held in the Greene County Jail on one count of possession with the intent to distribute. A judge had denied bond.
