TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey's governor says the people of his state "deserve better." Chris Christie began his State of the State address today with another apology for the scandal involving some of his aides who appear to have deliberately snarled George Washington Bridge traffic to get even with the mayor of Fort Lee for not supporting Christie.
The governor told lawmakers today, "Mistakes were clearly made." His audience included lawmakers who announced this week that they are intensifying their probe of the political retribution scheme.
