Kander Encourages Registered Voters To Take Part In Local Elections
With some areas across the state holding elections, the Secretary of State is encouraging voters to take part in local elections.
Jason Kander says whether you have a single issue to vote on or a full ballott to visit your polling place. For those holding elections polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Elections are being held in Barry County, Christian County, Greene County, Jasper County, McDonald County, Newton County, Ozark County, Taney County, Webster County

Jefferson City, Mo. — Secretary of State Jason Kander today encouraged registered voters to take part in local elections on Tuesday, November 5, 2013.
“Whether you have a single issue to vote on or a full ballot, I encourage you to visit your polling place on Tuesday and make your voice heard,” Kander said. “Active and engaged voters strengthen our communities while also helping hold government accountable.”
Only certain cities and other jurisdictions will hold elections on Tuesday. Voters can contact their local election authority to determine if there’s an election in their area.
For those communities holding elections, polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Additionally, absentee voting will be available at the local election authority’s office during business hours on Monday, November 4, and select hours on Saturday, November 2.
