Early Education Programs Get Back $1 Billion In Funding

By Erika Brame. CREATED Jan 19, 2014

Head Start programs are getting back $1 billion that was slashed last year.

Programs right here in Springfield had to lay off teachers and closed five classrooms after the cuts.

Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation says getting the money back is helpful but people are worried about losing it again.

It says it's happy to finally look at building versus cutting Head Start and early education programs.
